Trying another Twitter client
So it’s that time again that I get sick of the apps I use that mostly work all the time and I look for a replacement. I know is probably a waste of time and money, but whats the point of settling for something thats not perfect?(1)
Right now I’m using both Twitterific on both my iPhone and my iPad. I just use the twitter website on my mac. It works OK. Multiple accounts, searching and sending to instapaper.
As a test last night I switched to using Tweetbot from tapbots on my iPhone only. Initial thoughts are good - the app does everything I need it to do and looks good. I like the wifi streaming feature, although probably something more suited to iPad / desktop app.
I’ve moved Twitterific off my main home screen and placed Tweetbot in its place for me to properly use it. I’ll try and use it as normal for a week and write another update piece on my thoughts.
(1) To quote my late great French Teacher Mr Whyte “If it’s perfect it will do”. This doesn’t apply to everything, but defiantly for apps.
